Manal from Syria: Trainee in Zwickau

Living your dreams:
A young woman on her way to a career in medicine.

Manal Alhamidi came to Zwickau with her brother. Before starting her training, she considered several options in the medical profession. During the coronavirus pandemic, she was involved at a German Red Cross vaccination centre.

She likes the people here in the Zwickau region, and loves the peace and quiet in the city's green oases. After completing her training, she is keen to get into work as soon as possible to earn money.

That would give Manal a basis to start a degree programme. She's been dreaming of this for a long time: "I advise all young people to keep hold of their dream, and not to give up."
