Commercial space concept of used and vacant commercial spaces

In order to enhance the district's attractiveness as a place to live and work and to implement new ideas to benefit the region, its people and its companies, a positive perception of successful companies and attractive jobs is crucial.

For the development or relocation of thriving companies, the quality and quantity of the commercial space on offer plays an important role. To investigate this key topic in more detail, AG Zwickau commissioned the preparation of a district-wide commercial space concept.

In addition to the land on register for potential building and the development areas set out in the land use plan, other possible spaces within the district were also examined and evaluated. These spaces are currently not subject to any basic commercial planning design, but meet the fundamental criteria for commercial use. As a result, a list of eleven fundamentally suitable search areas was drawn up.
